Private Chef

Karen Lee will prepare a delicious dinner for you in the beauty and comfort of your own home.

Many options are available. You may prefer to do the shopping yourself or to have me shop. You may choose to have me stay to cook or to have me prepare the food ahead of time to be reheated.

Simple or elaborate menus are available, and are designed around your request. If you say, “I love steak” then I will suggest a few steak dishes such as Ginger Beef, Sichuan Steak au Poivre, or Marinated and Grilled Porterhouse and so forth. See sample menu below.

The private chef service is designed for 2 to 12 guests.

Price Schedule

Chef’s Fee:  $75.00 an hour ($85 after 7:00 pm.)
Travel Time out of NYC:  $35.00 an hour
Food Cost:  $25-$50 per person, depending on the menu

 

For Example

The estimated preparation time for a dinner party for 10 to 12 people would be 12 to 16 hours depending on the menu. If you have a housekeeper to wash dishes during the day, then I can prepare more food in less time. Once you have chosen the menu, I can give you an exact cost of labor and food.
